This webinar will take place from 1:00-3:00 pm Pacific Time.
This final session (2-hour wrap up of the ICAP Job Search Supports Series) is designed to equip career coaches and vocational rehabilitation counselors with the knowledge and skills needed for effective collaboration in guiding job seekers towards successfully obtaining career goals. Coaches and VRCs will delve into the nuanced differences between their roles and understand how their unique expertise complements each other to provide a well-rounded support system.
The training will emphasize the importance of clear communication channels, helping coaches/VRCs identify when to communicate and what information they should share during the career guidance process. Trainers will give special attention to fostering a client/student-centric approach, ensuring that the job seeker’s needs remain the focal point throughout the journey.
Moreover, Coaches and VRCs will gain practical information into effective and responsive documentation, learning which information should be shared between them, and the optimal timing for such exchanges. By the end of the training, participants will be well-equipped to collaborate and continue the partnership that enhances the overall effectiveness of career guidance efforts for ICAP job seekers.
This ICAP training is intended for ICAP Career Coaches and leads from the participating community colleges; however, partners from Vocational Rehabilitation are welcome to attend.
