Overview

Team Initiated Problem Solving (TIPS) for School Leadership Teams is a training designed to support school level teams (i.e. School Leadership or Tier 1 teams) in using an evidenced based data-based decision-making process. The training focuses on building strong, efficient school-based meeting practices such as using multiple sources of data (e.g., academic, and social, emotional, behavioral health outcome, capacity, fidelity) to define and address problems effectively. It equips school staff with tools to use data to clearly define problems, develop aligned goals, and implement targeted, research-informed solutions tailored to each school’s unique context (Chaparro et. al., 2022; Horner et al., 2018; Newton et al., 2012). TIPS includes three core components. This webinar is a follow-up to the first session that introduced the first core component: Meeting Foundations. In this webinar, the remaining two components will be covered: Effective Problem Solving and Implementation Decisions. Participants will be able to ask questions about the materials, review activities, and engage in discussion about the training package and delivery.
