Just-in-time Toolkit for Employees Webinar

  • Jul 21, 2021
  • 1:00 PM - 2:00 PM EDT

Overview

Join us for an introduction to the new Just-in-Time Toolkit for Employees. You’ll see a demo of a toolkit website and learn about our development process. You’ll also hear from a Merck representative, who will discuss how the toolkit is already being used at Merck.

The purpose of the customizable Just-in-Time Toolkit for Employees is to highlight an organization’s commitment to including people with disabilities and to reinforce how diversity includes disability. It also educates employees about supporting co-workers with disabilities and accessing the accommodation process. The toolkit is an excellent way to reinforce an organization’s self-identification campaigns. More about the Just-in-Time Toolkit for Employees:

  • Developed by experts at Cornell’s ILR School who work for the Yang-Tan Institute on Employment and Disability.
  • Six tools that help employees build disability confidence.
  • Situated learning approach allows employees to access content “just-in-time.”
  • Covers the business value of disability inclusion and describes good practices for implementing disability inclusion.
  • Employees will learn why your organization includes people with disabilities in its workforce, as well as your policies and processes for disclosure, self-identification, and reasonable accommodation.
  • Cornell uses information you provide about organizational policies and practices to customize the toolkit to your organization, and we collaborate with you as needed to finalize the text.
  • Toolkit websites are hosted by Cornell.
  • A Just-in-Time Toolkit for Managers is also available.
