ICAP Career Pathways Session 4: Region 2 Meeting
- Oct 26, 2022
- 4:00 PM - 5:30 PM EDT
Overview
In this ICAP session, participants from region 2 in Oregon Vocational Rehabilitation (VR) and partners will examine career pathways within their local area as they relate to demand in their communities. Presenters will discuss local labor market information, what it is, how to find it, and how to apply it to ICAP career pathways within the community college system. Businesses need a pool of qualified and skilled potential candidates, and through ICAP, we can collaborate to support people with disabilities in pursuing career pathways through postsecondary education and credential attainment. Although many career pathways are specific to particular industry, there are some that are needed across several industry sectors. Participants will engage in a discussion and brainstorm how to develop specific career pathways for people with disabilities in Oregon and hear of real examples already in progress. CRCs and PDUs will be available for this session.
This ICAP Career Pathways Series, Session 4, is intended for vocational rehabilitation counselors (VRC) from Oregon VR Region 2, Oregon Commission for the Blind, VRCs from Tribal VR partner programs, VR Youth Team, and ICAP Career Coaches from the partnering community colleges.
