Oregon VR Functional Limitations Series #3: Dual Diagnoses (Intellectual and Mental Health disabilities)

The broad range of abilities, potential functional limitations, and needs represented by individuals with dual diagnoses requires rehabilitation professionals to possess specialized knowledge and skills. Participants in this training will (1) identify common functional limitations resulting from co-occurring IMH disorders and how such challenges may impact service delivery and employment; (2) describe functional limitations and other complicating factors of co-occurring IMH disorders relative to eligibility requirements and plan development; (3) determine rehabilitation activities appropriate for individuals with co-occurring IMH disabilities based on unique features of a case, evidence-based and best practices, and available resources.
